Glad you found it of value. I think you'll find the final assessment even more interesting as you'll note what results have changed in even a short amount of time! Keep it up!

That's really excellent to hear!

I'm sorry for coming in with a comment that might be a bit aggressive. Of course, this is your personal space and I'd completely understand if you'd deleted the comment without a second thought.

Really, though, I find your stance here very admirable. Thanks for giving my question a moment and setting my mind mind at ease!

I appreciate your comment. I fully realize that my personal faith in God cannot and should not be a platform in the classroom. I know it is a touchy area in education and am respectful of that. I am planning to be an adult educator in the area technology. So...creation vs. evolution will not likely come up. If it does I feel I have the right to give my opinion if I am asked but would never force my ideas on anyone. Since this is a personal blog, the subject area is wide-open. I would not post this on a work-related site. Thanks!

You don't intend to incorporate any of this into your curriculum, do you?

Of course, I don't mean to weasel onto your territory and start an argument about science and religion, I'm just concerned about how you intend to work with this as an educator.

When Dr. Tackett said "no" to the responses to the question, "why did Jesus come into the world," I didn't see that as denying the answers. He was looking for one particular answer, "To testify to the truth." This answer encompasses all of the other answers.

I hear what you are saying about studying the Word of God. The truth project is just one person's interpretation. We need to study the Word for ourselves and ask God to give us revelation.

Thanks for your comments!

I don't think Dr. Tackett is suppressing the truth about Jesus. Since we no longer have Jesus here on earth, He is revealed to us through God's word, which fits into what Dr. Tackett said (creation and the Word).

In lesson 3, Gal 5:16-17 is quoted but he says that believers still have the sinful nature after they are saved! This is a lie.

If he had continued to read the rest of that chapeter, he would know the truth.

verses 19-21
Now the acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry ans witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this, will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Clincher verses 24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

Do the above verses sound like those who belong to Jesus still have the sinful nature? No.

In lesson 2, Dr. Tackett said God revealed himself to us in two ways, in creation and the word.
He left out Jesus!!

Hebrews 1:2a 'in these last days has spoken to us in His Son,...'

Hebrews 1:3a 'And He (Jesus) is the radiance of His (God the Father) glory and the exact representation of His nature...'

It made me suspicious why Dr. Tackett is suppressing the truth about Jesus.
